Mate-r was born in December 2010.  His sire was Am GCH Turn-Key's Little Big Man RN, and his dam was Lainey.  At his very first show as a puppy, a fun match, he won a herding group 2.  He brought many more firsts into my life.  We won the Canadian Cardigan Corgi Club's National Specialty in 2012 under Breeder Judge Peter Clifton.  We then went on to win my first group placing, a Herding Group 4.  He also loved to herd, usually on his own terms.  Colin Brownlee showed him for me for a couple of summers, and he ended up second and first in Canada for the breed.  This also finished the requirements for earning his Grand Champion Excellent title, which made him only the 2nd Cardigan in Canada (and first male) to finish this title.  
Mate-r is a very goofy loveable boy.  He recently retired to live with one of his daughters locally.  One of the toughest decisions a breeder makes, but it is ultimately about what is best for the individual dog.
